The only penguin that breeds in Africa, the African penguin lives along the coasts of South Africa and Namibia. Critically endangered by dwindling fish stocks and pollution, it is portrayed on black that isolates its white breast and dark band.
Every Animals in Black photograph begins in a wildlife park in Northern Italy and is developed through Gian Luca Partengo’s original post-production process, which isolates the animal against black without altering its identity.
