The jaguar has the most powerful bite of any big cat, able to pierce shells and skulls. Near threatened by forest loss, it is portrayed on black that isolates its bold rosettes and the stare of the Americas’ largest predator.
Every Animals in Black photograph begins in a wildlife park in Northern Italy and is developed through Gian Luca Partengo’s original post-production process, which isolates the animal against black without altering its identity.
