The mongoose lemur ranges across north-western Madagascar and the Comoros, shifting between day and night with the seasons. Critically endangered, it is among the world’s most threatened primates; black gathers all of its fragile intensity.
Every Animals in Black photograph begins in a wildlife park in Northern Italy and is developed through Gian Luca Partengo’s original post-production process, which isolates the animal against black without altering its identity.
