Terms & conditions

These Terms & Conditions of Sale govern purchases of fine-art prints made through this website. By placing an order you declare that you have read and accepted them.

1. Seller

The seller is Animals in Black — AiB di Gian Luca Partengo, P.IVA 11948950016 (the “Seller”). For any request write to hello@animalsinblack.it or use the contact page.

2. Products

The products are fine-art photographic prints, produced to order in the format and finish chosen by the customer. Printing, framing, certification (Epson Digigraphie) and shipping are handled by the printing partner PHOTOGEM on fine-art paper (Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta). As each item is made specifically for the order, it qualifies as a made-to-order/personalised good.

3. Prices

All prices are in euros and include VAT (22%). Shipping costs are calculated automatically on the cart subtotal and shown clearly before payment; see the Shipping policy. The Seller may update prices at any time; the price applied is the one displayed at the time of the order.

4. Orders and conclusion of the contract

The order is placed online through the cart and the Stripe checkout. The contract is concluded when the customer receives the order confirmation email. The Seller reserves the right not to accept orders that are incomplete, unavailable, or affected by manifest errors in price or description, refunding any amount already paid.

5. Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and other methods shown at checkout). Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe: the Seller never receives or stores card details.

6. Production and delivery

Production and shipping are carried out by the printing partner within the times and at the costs set out in the Shipping policy. You will receive a notification with the tracking code when the parcel is dispatched.

7. Right of withdrawal

Because the prints are made to order and personalised, the ordinary right of withdrawal does not apply, pursuant to art. 59, para. 1, lett. c) of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005). Returns are accepted only for damaged, defective or incorrect items: see the Returns policy.

8. Legal guarantee of conformity

Consumers benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (arts. 128 ff. of the Consumer Code) for a period of 24 months from delivery, for goods that are defective or not as described.

9. Intellectual property

All images are the exclusive property of the author and protected by copyright. Purchase grants ownership of the physical print only, and does not transfer any reproduction, distribution or commercial-use rights.

10. Charity

10% of the value of every print is set aside and donated to WWF or other organisations committed to protecting animals and endangered species. The amount is calculated on the value of the products purchased, including VAT and excluding shipping costs. More information is available on the project page.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Italian law. For consumers, the competent court is that of their place of residence or domicile. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
